Student Scholarship
The County Town Singers is a 70-member community choir that sings for the love of it! Located in the Durham Region, we enjoy entertaining our audiences with an annual spring and Christmas concert, community shows for private organizations and fundraisers as well as at choral events in Canada and Europe.
A non-profit organization that values giving back to the community, we provide a $500 scholarship to a graduating student pursuing music at the post-secondary level. Submissions are being accepted for the 2019 scholarship award until April 1st, 2019.
Submissions will be evaluated and selected candidates will be required to perform in early March. The scholarship recipient will be required to provide proof of enrolment in a post-secondary music program.
Interested applicants are required to submit the following:
(1) A letter of introduction including your high school, performing experience and why you are applying for this scholarship;
(2) A performance resume and links to your performance videos; and
(3) Two letters of reference on letterhead where applicable.
